Drugs in Bologna: gang of drug dealers with 100 deliveries a day defeated.
Bologna. Major drug raid the one carried out yesterday by the Police in the neighborhood Bolognina. The agents, as part of a broader activity coordinated by the DDA, were engaged in a vast operation which led to the defeat of a gang of drug dealers which moved significant quantities of hashish and cocaine.
During the operation 30 people were arrested in flagrante delicto, while they were seized 2 kg of cocaine and 90 kg of hashish. Furthermore, yesterday morning they were seized approximately 150mila euros in cash held by the drug dealers.
Circa 100 daily deliveries were carried out in the parks and streets close to the station, with an estimated turnover of at least 5 thousand euros per day.
From monitoring the drug dealing activity, the Flying Squad investigators traced back to the drug supply channel: it is a group of Moroccan citizens part of a criminal association aimed at trafficking large quantities of drugs in the metropolitan area of Bologna.
The Flying Squad concentrated on the drug dealing near the station, inside the “Red Barracks” park, in via di Corticella, in via della Beverara and in other streets of the Navile district. Numerous have been confirmed sales of half gram doses of cocaine, in exchange for 50 euros each.
