Cosenza, drug checks and searches: arrested for possession of hashish and reported for drug dealing activities.

In the day of Thursday August 3, staff of State Police has performed, as part of the extraordinary services arranged bythe Police Commissioner of the Province of Cosenza and coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office, various checks in the city, aimed at combating drug trafficking. During these services, a person, with a police record, was arrested because found in possession of a hashish-type narcotic substance, for a total of 54 grams. In particular, the man was subjected to control by a patrol near his home because, while driving a vehicle, he suddenly accelerated at the sight of the policemen. The narcotic was cleverly hidden inside the bedroom and part of it was found on the man's private parts. It was also found during the search other material instrumental to the drug dealing activity.

Within the same services, a person was also reported for violation of drug legislation since, upon home inspection, he was found in possession of marijuana, for a total weight of 130 grams, as well as more useful material for packaging and weighing. In the circumstance, it was ascertained that the man, currently confined to his home under the dhome detention for specific crimes, has in fact continued the drug dealing activity regardless of the requirements imposed in application of the measure. Once the formalities had been completed, the arrested man was taken to his home and, at the disposal of the proceeding AG, subjected to house arrest while the reported person was also reported for conduct in violation of the provisions.
