Catania: They hid drugs and clandestine weapons, spouses from Nesima arrested by the Carabinieri

The District Attorney's Office of Catania, within the scope of the investigative activity carried out by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Catania, has delegated to them a house search at an apartment in the Nesima district, during which the operators have arrested for "illegal possession of clandestine weapons"and "possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances", two spouses from Catania aged 59 and 46 respectively.

During the operation, the Carabinieri found in a small room of the apartment, used as a storage room, a transparent cellophane bag containing 1.100 Gr. of amnesia marijuana, a handbag from a well-known fashion brand containing 90 grams of cocaine divided into sachets, a precision scale and a machine for preparing vacuum packages.

Furthermore, the officers found a yellow shopping bag in the basement of the couple, inside which there were two blank pistols modified by replacing the barrel thus made offensive and lethal therefore considered clandestine, a 7,65 caliber bullet e 2 bulletproof vests valid.

The couple was, therefore, arrested and made available to the Judicial Authority, which validated the provision and ordered the precautionary custody in prison for both, while The drugs and weapons were seized.
