Castagneto Carducci: takes possession of an ATM card from his employer and withdraws 14.000 euros.

The Carabinieri of the Donoratico station, at the end of targeted investigations, reported a 41-year-old criminal from Castagneto Carducci to the AG of Livorno, as he was seriously suspected of improper use of payment instruments.
According to the reconstruction of the carabinieri, the man, taking advantage of his work as a carer for a local elderly person, from time to time furtively took possession of the ATM card kept in the man's wallet and, using the pin code that he had managed to obtain glimpsed during the various accompaniments of the elderly man to the local ATM, he made several withdrawals.

Trying not to arouse suspicion and allowing time to pass between one operation and another, he managed to take possession of the total sum of 14.000 euros.
Despite these precautions, the missing items were noticed by the elderly man who turned to the police.
In light of the information acquired, the military launched investigations during which they verified that the suspicious withdrawals took place during the night and from viewing the video surveillance recordings of the ATMs where the withdrawals were made, they managed to identify a person who used the aforementioned card, finally managing to identify him.

The modus operandi has also been reconstructed: during the day he took possession of the ATM and made withdrawals at night, placing the card back in the victim's wallet the following morning.
The 41-year-old was reported to the Labronica Judicial Authority for improper use of payment instruments.
