Cassino, sculptures stolen from Ancona recovered on the A1.
State Police officers last week have an Iveco truck stopped on the A1 motorway with two people on board.
The officers of the Cassino Traffic Police, during the inspection phase, noticed in the cargo compartment of the van a large wooden chest with 26 red boxes inside containing sculptures of various types and sizes.
The two men were unable to justify their possession of the goods. Thus the agents deepened the investigations of the Judicial Police.
It was therefore found that in the province of Ancona, there had been fake couriers who had fraudulently stolen the same goods.
At that point, the detainees, at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, they were reported at liberty for fraud.
The sculptures, for a market value of over 25 thousand euros, will be returned to the rightful owner.
