Cassibile: Carabinieri arrest 16-year-old who stabbed love rival in nightclub

The Carabinieri of the Cassibile Station have arrested and associated with the Juvenile Penal Institute of "Catania-Bicocca", an 16 year old, accused of attempted aggravated murder and possession of weapons and objects capable of causing offence, in execution of the precautionary custody order issued by the GIP at the Juvenile Court of Catania, at the request of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.

This is another episode of bad nightlife involving teenagers and that only by chance did it not have even more serious and irreversible consequences.

The evening of June 28 last, during an evening in a nightclub in the well-known seaside resort of Fontane Bianche, following a fight between teenagers that occurred for trivial reasons related to jealousy for a girl, the 16-year-old had 19-year-old punched in the face and threatened with death guilty of having given a cigarette to his girlfriend.

At approximately 2 o'clock next, at the end of the evening, the 16-year-old he then waited for his rival outside the club and, in the course of a real ambush, he had stabbed him repeatedly with a knife in the back and chest, causing him injuries that could have been fatal, the victim was in fact stabbed in vital areas.

The investigative activities carried out immediately after the event by the Carabinieri of the Cassibile Station and the Siracusa Company who intervened that night, assisted by the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Siracusa, allowed, through the viewing of video surveillance footage, the questioning of witnesses and the inspection of the site of the event, to reconstruct the dynamics of the attack and identify the perpetrator.

The person in charge had been immediately identified and reported at liberty, now, following the investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office for Minors of Catania, the precautionary measure has arrived.
