Carinola: in a fit of anger he explodes three rifle shots in the direction of the home of a couple, arrested by the Carabinieri.

It would appear that it was trivial reasons, linked to family disagreements, that pushed the 52-year-old from Carinola, in the Caserta area, to fire three rifle shots at the home of a local couple.

It happened when the couple, at home after dinner time, noticed that in the courtyard of their home the 52-year-old, armed with a rifle, was shouting offensive and threatening phrases loudly.

As soon as the spouses tried to leave, the latter fired three shots in rapid sequence, the first of which was in the air, the second in the direction of the entrance door where he had noticed the presence of one of the spouses, who was only grazed by the pellets, and the third in the direction of the facade of the house.

Immediately after the shooting he got back into the car in which he had arrived and hurriedly drove away.

The victims, who remained unharmed and frightened, were unable to ask for help in the evening but this morning, fearing that their attacker might return, they dialed the emergency number "112" and notified the Carabinieri of the Mondragone Territorial Department of the 'happened.

The soldiers of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit, who immediately intervened at the reported house, during the inspection found and seized 2 exploded rifle cartridges and noted that the entrance door, as well as some points of the facade, had suffered damage and chipping caused by gunshots.

After the complaint, presented by the spouses, the carabinieri tracked down the attacker at his home and, during the house search, found and seized 1 12 gauge hunting rifle and 20 cartridges of the same caliber, having the same characteristics as those explosions found shortly before at the victims' home.

After the formalities, the 52-year-old was taken to house arrest, at the disposal of the judicial authorities. He will have to answer for attempted murder and illegal possession of common firearms in a public place.
