Brescia, disabled people mistreated: 5 healthcare workers affected by precautionary measures.

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit of Brescia carried out the precautionary measure of prohibiting the approach of offended persons against five social and health workers on duty at a designated city residence
to the reception of disabled people, considered presumed responsible for the crime of mistreatment, aggravated because it was committed against people suffering from obvious physical and mental disabilities.

The provision was issued by the GIP of Brescia at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office which coordinated the investigations, following the investigations conducted by the military also with the aid of cameras installed in the aforementioned structure, which made it possible to document approximately eighty episodes of violence, physical, above all, but also moral, the result of insults and humiliations at the hands of today's suspects and to the detriment of guests of the aforementioned facility.

Cases of carelessness were also serious: hygiene operations were sometimes deliberately avoided and postponed for up to days.

It is underlined that the criminal proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase and that the subjects involved, who are under investigation, will be able to exercise their right of defense and assert their reasons in the subsequent procedural phases.
