The doors of the Canton Mombello prison opened for him on charges of having repeatedly mistreated and physically attacked his 44-year-old ex-partner.

The man had already been arrested at the end of August last year, again for the same crime.

After a short period spent in precautionary custody, he was released and a ban on approaching his partner was applied to him.

In recent months, despite the measure in place, the man had tried to get closer to his ex.

But his intentions were probably not to rebuild a worn-out relationship that had come to an end; indeed in recent weeks there had been an escalation of violence, even of a physical nature, committed in front of their few-year-old daughter.

Since last summer, the Carabinieri of the Breno Company have continued to follow the matter and, based on the new confirmed episodes of violence, they have urgently activated a "code red" procedure, referring the results of the investigations to the Brescia Prosecutor's Office.

Having received the information and taken into account the seriousness of the conduct carried out by the 37-year-old, who on several occasions had seriously threatened his ex, a precautionary custody order was issued by the Court.
