Bolzano, attacks and threatens officers. Stopped with the activation of the taser. Arrested for aggravated damage and resisting a public official
On July 11, the Agents of the “Flying Squad” of the State Police intervened in via Sassari following numerous calls received by the Operations Center of the Police Headquarters via the emergency number “112 NUE”, which reported with alarm the presence of a bare-chested foreigner, in a state of evident alteration probably due to alcohol and drugs, who was threatening passers-by and overturning all the garbage bins in the street, all in front of the astonished citizens who were crowding the numerous commercial businesses that overlook the street.
The officers, who arrived on the scene within minutes, could immediately detect the presence of the subject, who, bare-chested and with some "sanpietrini" in his hand, as soon as he realized the presence of the police, headed towards them shouting incomprehensible phrases and swinging his arms with the clear intent of wanting to hit them with stones.
The patrol leader, seeing the real threat that was looming both for the police officers and for the people in the vicinity, took out the TASER he was equipped with, first activating phase 1 (aiming at the individual's chest with the laser system) and, then, not having obtained the desired deterrent effect, putting phase 2 into action (activation of the mechanism that generates electric shocks).
At that point the man, realizing what was about to happen to him, gave up his intent and accepted the Agents' order to put down the stones he had in his hand and surrender.
Once he was in a position where he could do no harm, the individual was forced to get into the service car. At this point the individual resumed his hostile attitude, going as far as making serious death threats to the Police. with phrases like “… let me go or I’ll burn you alive and kill you with my own hands, I’ll massacre you, you’re just garbage ….”
Even during transportation to the Police Headquarters, the individual - later identified as MB, a 32-year-old Moroccan citizen legally registered on the national territory and with a criminal and/or police record for various crimes, such as personal injury, theft, threats, violation of domicile and robbery - continued to shout intimidating and offensive phrases, intentionally banging his head several times on the plexiglass separator of the patrol car. Once he arrived at the Police Headquarters, the criminal continued his aggressive and threatening behavior; once he had made the detainees sit in the room, he hit, with repeated and violent kicks, the sheet metal door, bending and visibly damaging the internal steel panel.
At the end of the judicial police proceedings, MB was arrested for aggravated damage and resisting a public official.
On Monday afternoon, at the end of the judicial process, and having assessed the seriousness of the subject's conduct as well as his persistent recidivism, the Police Commissioner of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori – which had immediately revoked his residence permit – issued a Decree of Expulsion from the National Territory against him.
MB was then immediately transferred to the airport. Milano Malpensa and then boarded a flight to Morocco, where he arrived that same evening with an escort from the State Police, who handed him over to the authorities of that country.
"It is essential that the expulsion measures are made effective with the concrete removal from the urban context of those who, irregularly present in Italy, have repeatedly demonstrated that they do not want to accept the basic rules of civil coexistence and make crime their lifestyle. – highlighted Commissioner Sartori –. This type of Security Police activity to combat illegal immigration is aimed at preventing foreigners with multiple criminal records from taking root in our country, often without the necessary qualification to stay in our country, who, with their behavior, cause particular social alarm and compromise the safety of citizens.".
