Bolzano: 3 Moroccans try to rob 3 Pakistanis, argument breaks out, expelled

As part of the daily general prevention and territorial control activities carried out by the patrols of the "Flying" Squad of the Bolzano Police Headquarters, very often we are called to intervene along the promenades that flank the city rivers, places where sometimes predatory crimes are committed or other episodes falling within the broader category of the so-called "petty crime".

On Sunday evening, the emergency number "112 NUE" received a request for intervention from a citizen who it signaled a dispute in progress in the Ponte Roma area between two groups of apparently foreign young people.

Immediately sent to the scene by the Police Operations Center, a patrol of the "Flying Police" identified 3 Pakistani citizens and 3 Moroccan citizens, visibly agitated and with wounds in various parts of the body; with the help of another State Police crew, all 6 subjects involved were accompanied to the Police Headquarters for further investigations and in order to clarify the facts.

The Pakistani citizens told the Agents that while they were sitting on some stones placed on the edge of the Isarco river they were approached by the three North Africans who, in a threatening manner and armed with knives, they ordered them to hand over their cell phones and all the money which they were in possession of. Upon the clear refusal of the Pakistanis, the latter were attacked with punches and kicks and with the throwing of a bicycle; this gave rise to a violent scuffle between the two factions.

The Moroccan citizens - all aged between 23 and 32, one already with a criminal record for robbery - were unable to achieve their criminal intent due to the determined resistance of the victims; the situation returned to normal only after the arrival of the "Volanti".

Having reconstructed the story, the 3 Moroccan citizens then came arrested for attempted aggravated robbery and personal injury.

Parallel to theprocess judicial, yesterday the Police Commissioner of the Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori issued, against them, as many Expulsion Decrees, so that we can repatriate them to their country of origin as soon as possible.

“What happened on Sunday represents a worrying criminal event, which could have degenerated and caused much more tragic consequences – Commissioner Sartori highlighted–. The prompt intervention of the Police was effective in preventing this from happening, and in preventing behaviors of this kind from causing particular social alarm and compromising civil coexistence. The objective is to maintain the highest possible level of legality in our Province, making citizens perceive the closeness of the institutions".
