The Carabinieri of the station of Borgo Panigale they arrested a 36-year-old Italian for persecutory acts against a 40-year-old Italian work colleague. In particular, the woman, married with a child, went to the police station to file a complaint against her work colleague, also married, with whom, a year ago, she had started an extramarital relationship.

The complaint

The woman reported to the Carabinieri that the romantic relationship had degenerated after a few weeks, when, in the throes of moments of jealousy, her lover had begun to threaten her with phrases such as: "I'll ruin you, I'll come to your house and tell everything to your Husband! You don't live anymore! You're a bitch! I will destroy you!”.

Despite everything, she continued to see her colleague without giving weight to the threats she received. Last July, during a weekend that the two were spending clandestinely in a hotel on the Romagna Riviera, the 36-year-old, realizing that the woman was checking his smartphone, became so enraged that after pushing her onto the bed, he attempted to suffocate her with a pillow, causing bruises on her arms.

After that episode, the woman who did not file a complaint, nevertheless decided to interrupt contact with the man, who, not resigned, began to persecute her with phone calls and messages, threatening to make their relationship public. Frightened, the woman turned to the Carabinieri, who, while the woman was in the police station, noticed that the man was harassing her with messages and phone calls that the woman had put on speakerphone.

The return home and the arrest

Once the report was drawn up, the Carabinieri, in order to protect the woman's safety, decided to accompany her home, where they noticed the presence of the 36-year-old waiting for her, lurking behind a street corner.

Despite the thanks given to the Carabinieri, thanks to whom the situation could not degenerate, the 36-year-old was arrested and, on the orders of the Bologna Public Prosecutor's Office, associated with Dozza.
