The woman told the military that the episode was not a sporadic and occasional event, but was part of a routine to which she was now accustomed, given that her husband's violent behavior had started before their marriage and had intensified. in 2008 after the birth of their first daughter.

The woman, a 39-year-old Italian, told the military that over the years she had had the courage to sue her husband, following the violent and threatening episodes that occurred within the home; complaints were all withdrawn shortly afterwards. Over the course of these years, the man has constantly threatened her with death, accusing her of being no good to her.

On a daily basis he addressed serious threats and insults to her, sometimes even using physical violence and in the presence of his minor cohabiting daughters. On the afternoon of Sunday 31 December, the man, who had been notified of the precautionary measure a few days earlier, showed up at his wife's house and, clearly drunk, threatened her with death again, regardless of the precautionary measure in question. act. The 42-year-old was arrested awaiting trial in a very direct manner.
