Bologna, they threaten the 63-year-old mother for her son's drug debts: two criminals arrested for attempted extortion.
I Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Bologna Centro Company, on the evening of Saturday 15 July, have two people arrested, a 53-year-old of Tunisian origin, in Italy homeless, convicted felon, unmarried, unemployed and a 33 year old from Bologna, convicted felon, both accused of the crime of attempted aggravated extortion in competition. Around 10 am on Saturday 30 July, the 15-year-old, a man of robust build and with showy colored tattoos on his arms, known as "Marco", according to him of Italian-Albanian origin, showed up at the the victim's home, a 63-year-old woman of Uruguayan origin, resident in Bologna in the San Donato-San Vitale district. The man asked the woman to pay off a drug debt of 10.000 euros that the son, 39 year old partially disabled from Bologna at 83%, he had contracted with four other Albanians, who had referred to him for the collection of the money.
The woman, under the threat of the man who intimidated her several times, making her understand the risks to her and her son's safety that she would face if she did not comply with the request for money, reported that she did not have that financial availability , inviting “Marco” to return in the evening to take 500 euros as a deposit. Immediately after the woman he asked the police for help and, by agreement between them, withdrew cash for a total of 500 euros, divided into 10 banknotes of 50 euros each. At around 21pm, the so-called "Marco", accompanied by another man (the 53-year-old Tunisian), who said he was his "uncle", went to the woman's house, and in clearly heated and threateningly, they again ordered her to pay off her son's drug debt as soon as possible, telling her that she only had two days to do so, in order to avoid "unpleasant conclusions". The woman thus handed over to "Marco" the yellow envelope containing the 10 50 euro banknotes, previously photocopied by the military as a sign of identification and recognition of the same. Shortly afterwards the soldiers, hidden not far away, intervened, blocking the two and recovering the yellow envelope with the money inside. Both those arrested were taken to the prison in Bologna awaiting validation of the arrest.
