Attempted thefts on the street, in cars and in homes in Vercelli: 6 people reported by the State Police.

La State Police of the Vercelli Police Headquarters has intervened on numerous occasions to protect citizens. Among the most important episodes, mention is made of the one that occurred in the week of July 17th, when a man was released on bail by the police officers who intervened in Piazza Roma for theft by snatching. In particular, the operators intervened quickly on the report of a young man, who complained that the perpetrator had stolen a banknote from his hands, near the car park in via Viotti, with a sudden gesture. The offended person immediately pointed out to the officers the perpetrator of the theft, who was in the company of two other subjects.

The three, of Moroccan origin, were identified and, following the relevant investigations, they proceeded release one of them to freedom for the aforementioned theft by snatching, as well as for failure to comply with the order of the Police Commissioner of Nuoro abandon the national territory with consequent expulsion order issued by the Prefect of Vercelli and the order of the Police Commissioner of Vercelli to leave the national territory within seven days. We also proceeded to release the second man to freedom for false certification or declaration to a Public Official regarding identity, as well as for illegal entry and stay in the territory of the State. The Prefect also issued an expulsion order against the latter, as well as an order from the Police Commissioner to leave the national territory within seven days.

Also on the same day, a few hours later, the Volante operators were released in a state of freedom a man for the attempted theft of a car. In particular, the perpetrator first introduced his hand through the slightly lowered window of a car parked in via XX Settembre and immediately after opened the door and began to rummage inside, before moving away. The personal prevention measure of dismissal was also proposed against the aforementioned man, already released in a state of freedom for other crimes and residing in a province other than that of Vercelli.

On another occasion, the operators promptly went to via Monaco following reporting the theft of a phone. Once on site, the applicant ran away at the sight of the operators and, quickly tracked down by the latter, assumed a disrespectful attitude towards them. The applicant, subjected to a personal search with negative results, was released in a state of freedom for the crime of resisting a public official. The last episode instead featured two subjects who were released in a state of freedom for attempted home invasion. In particular, the Volanti operators went to via Giuba upon a report from a man, who reported that two subjects had entered the house next door and had subsequently left. The response of the operators was immediate and, after brilliantly acquiring more information, they promptly tracked down the perpetrators of the crime.
