Anzio: a man's ear is cut off in a pub, 2 men arrested.

In the last few days, in 3 different incidents, the State Police officers stationed at the Anzio-Nettuno police station have executed a precautionary measure - issued by the Velletri magistrates following an assault that occurred on the night of August 18th - and arrested 2 men, both, albeit in different contexts, seriously suspected of resisting a public official, threats and assault.

The events that led to the precautionary measure occurred in a pub near the port of Anzio; a boy who wanted to stop two young people sitting at the table next to him from arguing was violently attacked and beaten by both of the arguing people.

The boy had to seek emergency care and the paramedics, in addition to treating the fractured nasal bones, could do nothing for the ear which had been partially severed by a bite from one of the attackers.

The investigators of the Anzio/Nettuno police station, at the end of an investigation coordinated by the Velletri Prosecutor's Office, identified the alleged attackers and acquired a series of confirmations.

The Prosecutor's Office requested and obtained from the Judge for Preliminary Investigations the adoption of a precautionary measure for today's suspects, both 23 years old and residents on the coast.

The same investigators carried out the measure: one of the two, who the GIP also charged with "repeated and specific recidivism", was taken to prison while the co-defendant was placed under house arrest. The crimes charged to both are aggravated injuries and deformation of the person's appearance through permanent injuries to the face.

2 separate arrests for two people seriously suspected of the crimes of assault, threat and resistance to a Public Official:

in riviera Mallozzi, a patrol intervened for a drunken 51-year-old man who was harassing passers-by; the same man, at the sight of the police, violently attacked the officers.

The other episode began on board the Nettuno-Rome train where the police had to intervene due to a violent fight between a man and a woman.

The officers, albeit with difficulty and aided by some off-duty colleagues, managed to get the litigants off the ground, who, once on the ground, especially the man, a 28-year-old of Moroccan origins, struck the police officers, who, after securing the parties, had to seek emergency care.

In both cases, the Velletri Prosecutor's Office requested and obtained from the GIP the validation of the arrests.

In any case, the suspects are to be considered presumed innocent, in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings, i.e. that of the preliminary investigations, until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
