Ancona, tries to avoid checks at the toll booth because she was convicted of theft: arrested and taken to prison
Ancona, during targeted road control and surveillance services, the operators of the Dorica Traffic Police of the Jesi Detachment, at the Ancona Nord motorway toll booth, noticed that a car with an unsafe pace was heading towards the toll booth exit. The patrol became suspicious because the car, as it approached the exit, attempted to elude them, taking the toll lane furthest from their checkpoint. At that point the operators, managing to see 2 adults on board and catching a glimpse of a baby seat, stopped the car and proceeded with the check.
The police immediately perceived the attitude of the passenger who did not take her eyes off the newborn baby present in the passenger compartment and sitting in the carrycot. The driver of the car declared that he was in Ancona to reach the children's hospital because the newborn needed medical care but, when asked by the police about the name of the doctor who was treating the child and the name of the hospital where he was supposed to take her , gave no response.
Suspicions about the driver's hesitation, the behavior of the passenger and the absence of personal luggage or other material in tow, verified after a brief check of the vehicle, led the police to carry out an investigation of the two names at the terminal, obtaining a positive result. In fact, the driver boasted a police record, while the passenger was the recipient of a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the Court of Rome because she was involved in numerous skilful thefts of Rolex watches in the capital.
The operators then proceeded to carry out the measure by taking the passenger to the women's prison in Pesaro together with her newborn daughter.
