Alessandria: the notice of the conclusion of the preliminary investigations for the murder of the Carabinieri officer D'Alfonso Giovanni has been served.
The investigations conducted by the ROS Carabinieri focused on those responsible for the kidnapping of the entrepreneur Vittorio Vallarino Gancia which occurred on 4.06.1975 by members of the Red Brigades.

Yesterday morning the notice of the conclusion of the preliminary investigations pursuant to art. 415 bis cpp to Azzolini Lauro, Curcio Renato, Moretti Mario Marcello Massimo Maurizio and Zuffada Pierluigi Severino investigated in the criminal proceedings concerning the murder of the Carabinieri officer D'Alfonso Giovanni, which occurred on 5.06.1975 near the Cascina Spiotta in the locality of Arzello di Melazzo (AL).
The investigations conducted by the ROS Carabinieri focused on responsible for the kidnapping of the entrepreneur Vittorio Vallarino Gancia on 4.06.1975 by members of the Red Brigades and the subsequent firefight in which, in addition to the soldier, Margherita "Mara" Cagol lost her life and Lieutenant Umberto Rocca and Carabinieri Marshal Rosario Cattafi were seriously injured.
After the firefight, one of the kidnappers managed to get away and any attempt to identify him has so far been in vain.
The proceeding is at the end of the preliminary investigation phase and the suspects are deemed not guilty until the irrevocable criminal sentence or decree of conviction.
