Agrigento, they stop a suspicious vehicle and find a young man on board with a switchblade

Agrigento, Last 20.04.2021, in Licata the State Police reported a young man in a state of freedom because he was found in possession of a knife outside his home.

The men of the police station on police duty, during a police activity for the prevention and repression of crimes, traveling along a central street in Licata, noticed a car with three subjects on board with suspicion who, at the sight of the crew , attempted to evade control by suddenly taking the SS115 state road.

Once the vehicle was stopped, the operating officers subjected the occupants and the vehicle to a search, which allowed them to find on one of them, a switchblade with a wooden handle with a total length of 16 cm and a blade with a length of 8 cm, for which the young man did not provide valid reasons justifying the port.

Therefore, the knife was seized and the minor was referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Palermo for the crime of unjustified possession of weapons and/or objects capable of offending.
