Agrigento, man with a police record for threatening a public official and escaping from house arrest. Convicted of theft and possession of weapons with expulsion order.
Yesterday afternoon, 15 February 2024, staff of the Immigration Office of the Agrigento Police Headquarters executed a decree of expulsion from the national territory, as an alternative sanction to detention, issued pursuant to art. 16, paragraph 5, of the Legislative Decree Legislative Decree no. 286/1998, by the Surveillance Magistrate of Agrigento, against a 30-year-old Georgian citizen.
The subject who was imprisoned at the “P. Di Lorenzo” of Agrigento as he was convicted, with an irrevocable sentence, for the crimes of theft, resistance to a public official and carrying weapons or objects designed to offend, and who would have finished serving his sentence on 24.01.2025, was therefore accompanied to Tbilisi.
The same also includes police bias for crimes of resistance to a public official, violence or threats to a public official, attempted injuries to Penitentiary Police personnel, evasion from house arrest and was already the recipient of an expulsion decree with an order from the Police Commissioner to leave the national territory which he had not complied with.
