Agrigento, fakes the theft of the phone but had given it to his wife: reported to Canicattì

Agrigento, yesterday, in Canicattì, the State Police reported a thirty-year-old from Canicattì at liberty for the crime of simulating a crime.

It all originated from a previous complaint filed by the man for the theft, from his home, of an iPhone 11 pro max phone and a Playstation 4 console.

The man, who had purchased these devices shortly before, at a well-known shopping center in Agrigento, had stipulated a finance and insurance contract with the sales center which would have compensated him in the event of particular events and among these also the theft.

Laborious investigations by the men of the police station, in order to find the said material, made it possible to ascertain that the telephone was still active, even after the complaint filed by the man and that the telephone traffic of incoming and outgoing calls led back to the wife who had I use the device.

The man, cornered by the operating agents, confessed to having attempted to defraud the insurance, simulating the theft at his home and trying to make the episode even more credible, he had produced an invoice from a window and door company for the changing the house lock.
