Agrigento, beatings and mistreatment of a newborn baby: parental rights suspended.
In recent days, the State Police of Agrigento has implemented the precautionary measure of suspension of parental responsibility for minor daughters, issued by the GIP at the Court of Agrigento, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, towards two young spouses, seriously suspected, in competition with each other, of attempted murder, injuries and mistreatment.
The father of the minors is also banned from approaching his daughters, the ban on residence in the city of Agrigento and Aragon and the obligation to present oneself at the place of residence twice a week.
The provision comes after extensive investigative activity by the Agrigento Flying Squad, following the lesions found on a six-month-old baby girl, when accompanied by family members to the “Barone Lombardo” hospital in Canicattì, for a post-vomiting syncopal episode, the doctors found a series of bruises and traumas on the pubis and head, plus a cerebral hemorrhage which required the immediate transfer of the little girl by air ambulance to the Polyclinic Hospital of Messina, where she was admitted to the pediatric resuscitation department.
