Agrigento, anti-COVID controls: various sanctions in the city and province

Agrigento, as is known, at the disposal of the Police Commissioner of Agrigento, Dr. Rosa Maria IRACI, the control activities of the territory have been intensified with specific services aimed at complying with the regulations on the containment of the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19.

In recent days, some individuals have been sanctioned who, without justified reason, stopped from one municipality to another or even from other provinces in the Agrigento area.

In recent evenings in Porto Empedocle, around 23pm, the men of the Border Police Station noticed more people intent on fishing.

From the checks it emerged that among the subjects there were people already sanctioned under the anti-covid legislation and therefore they were further sanctioned because they were found circulating beyond the permitted hours.

During another check, a citizen from Favara was found circulating on the Lungomare Pirandello in Porto Empedocle and since he did not provide any justification for his presence in a municipality other than his own residence, he was also sanctioned.

In the Licata area however, the men of the local police station identified a citizen of the Nissena province who claimed to have gone to the Licate area for a supermarket where he would save money.

Since this business was present in the Nisse area and at a shorter distance from the subject's place of residence, it was sanctioned according to current legislation.

The State Police checks aimed at complying with the rules on the containment of Covid-19 contagion will continue, in the city and in the municipalities of the province, also in the coming days, especially in view of the next weekend.
