A few minutes later the carabinieri reached the ground floor apartment and already from afar they noticed the man - a 68enne of the place – who is beating the woman. The victim has the same age of her husband, she is disabled and bedridden and at that moment he is on a deckchair placed on the terrace.

He has it in his hands a broomstick and repeatedly beats his helpless wife who barely screams, exhausted.

The carabinieri they rush to the aid of the old woman and stop the man. The injuries are evident and the intervention of the 118 personnel is necessary. For the victim a”right occipital legion edema” and the transfer to the hospital.

Shortly before being admitted to the health facility - where the woman still remains due to her previous health conditions (severe obesity, diabetes, arterial hypertension, heart disease) - the military they collect the woman's complaint.

Two years of abuse and harassment. Since the disease had taken over and forced the woman to remain immobile, the man had begun to mistreat her, beat her and insult her.

The 68-year-old was arrested and will have to answer for family abuse and aggravated personal injury to the magistrates of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata.
