Acerra, anti-drug raid: 11 people arrested
Eleven people arrested at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate for drug trafficking. This is the third wave of arrests in the city, now in total 40 people have ended up in handcuffs since last July 17th. Four different criminal groups operating in the Neapolitan city were hit.

By delegation of the District Attorney of Naples, we inform you that the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Castello Group of Cisterna have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, towards of 11 people, seriously accused of the crime of association for the purpose of trafficking in narcotic substances.
In particular, the investigation revealed the existence of two distinct criminal gangs, both operating in the municipality of Acerra, over a period of time between June 2022 and April 2023.
The illicit activity would be been put in place either through the supply of wholesalers from other cities in the province of Naples both with the transfer retail in "drug plazas" or with home deliveries to customers.
