Pescara: 56-year-old robs a pharmacy with scissors and steals almost 300 euros.

On the afternoon of October 13th, the Flying Squad, with the help of the Crime Prevention Department staff, gathered arrest of a 56-year-old Italian criminal for having committed a robbery, armed with scissors, at a pharmacy in the Portanuova area. The alarm was raised by the pharmacy staff, who, immediately after the robbery, contacted the police providing descriptions of the man and the escape route. The perpetrator of the crime, in particular, after having entered the business, with his face distorted by a balaclava, pointing his phobics at the employees, had the cash register drawer handed over to him, containing almost 300 euros.

The operators of the Police Squad, Crime Prevention Department and Flying Squad began patrolling the area, reaching the escape routes, including the various abandoned complexes present in the area. Right inside an abandoned structure in Via Tavo, a subject corresponding to the descriptions provided by the victims of the robbery was identified. In particular, the man appeared to have walking problems, as reported by the witnesses, a factor that made the operators more suspicious.
The further investigations carried out immediately made it possible to find the clothing worn during the robbery which man had tried to get rid of. Inside the abandoned structure, in fact, among the waste, the officers recovered the trousers, sweatshirt and balaclava he was wearing; furthermore, the careful viewing footage from the pharmacy cameras allowed us to find that the items of clothing found and the shoes worn by the man, which he had not discarded and which he was wearing when he was tracked down by the officers, corresponded to what was worn by the robber. Following the personal search, the money taken from the pharmacy cash register was also found and seized. The man was then arrested for the crime of aggravated robbery and, at the conclusion of the drafting of the ritual documents, conducted at the local district house available to the Judicial Authority. The robber's escape was therefore brief and, about twenty minutes after the robbery, he was stopped and arrested by police officers.
