32-year-old stalker already convicted of mistreatment returns to haunt his ex-partner: arrested again.

The Carabinieri of the Castello di Serravalle station (BO) have executed an application order of the pre-trial detention in prison against a 32 year old Italian, craftsman, resident in Valsamoggia (BO), investigated for persecutory acts. The provision, requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Bologna and issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations, arises from the complaint from a 35-year-old Italian woman, ex-partner of the suspect.

The woman turned to the Carabinieri a month ago to again report her ex-partner resumed persecuting her after a six-year "pause". due to the legal events that had slowed him down, with precautionary measures and three definitive sentences, again for the crime of mistreatment against family members and persecutory acts. In particular, a sentence of 1 year and 10 months of imprisonment, a sentence of 2 years, 6 months of imprisonment and finally a sentence of 3 years and 4 months of imprisonment. The 32-year-old resumed his persecutory conduct towards his ex-partner which the Judge deemed “Reiterate crime”, adding that "the re-enactment of such persecutory conduct therefore argues for the application of the most rigorous measure, as it has now been proven that non-prison-type approaches cannot have any deterrent effect". Tracked down by the Carabinieri, the 32-year-old was sent to prison.
