Lamezia Terme, extraordinary territorial control service by the Carabinieri
The Carabinieri conducted a coordinated service of extraordinary control of the territory with a “high impact” that involved the entire city district, with the aim of countering predatory criminal phenomena, widespread crime and urban decay.

The Carabinieri of the Lamezia Terme Company conducted, in the afternoon and evening, a coordinated service of extraordinary control of the territory with a “high impact” that involved the entire city area, with the aim of countering predatory criminal phenomena, widespread crime and urban decay.
During the activities, which saw the use of 30 military personnel, including Carabinieri from the NAS and NIL of Catanzaro and the Canine Unit of Vibo Valentia, 80 people and 50 vehicles were checked, and at the same time administrative checks were carried out on public establishments.
During the service a custody order was also executed with house arrest, with an electronic bracelet, against a 39-year-old from Lamezia Terme, considered responsible for stalking his ex-partner.
Furthermore, a 50-year-old woman, caught driving her car under the influence of alcohol, was reported at liberty to the Lamezia Judicial Authority and 2 other young people, all adults, have been reported to the Prefecture of Catanzaro pursuant to art. 75 DPR 309/1990, as they were found in possession of marijuana-type drugs for a total of approximately 16 grams.
The traffic control activity also allowed us to contest 11 violations of the Highway Code, with fines totaling 2.500,00 euros.
In the same context, the Carabinieri of the NAS of Catanzaro detected violations of hygiene and health matters in a public establishment, imposing fines of €1.000,00.
