This year too, many Educational institutions of the province of Catanzaro have opened their doors to the Carabinieri, embracing the initiative to contribute to the formation of the “Culture of Legality”. During the meetings with the students, the Carabinieri addressed various current issues such as Bullying, cyberbullying, education on environmental legality, access to the internet and the associated risks, road safety, the stalking and the femicide.
The students, right from the start, showed great interest in the topics covered, demonstrating a general knowledge of the phenomena and asking numerous questions to the military personnel who attended and who, pleasantly surprised by the interest aroused, resolved the various doubts.
The meetings involved hundreds of primary and secondary school students. Older children were more interested in the risks associated with the improper use of social networks, drug use and alcohol abuse.
The following have been illustrated: road traffic control activities, of emergency intervention and the technical-scientific surveys on the crime scene carried out by the Operational and Radiomobile Unit. The citizen response activity via the 112 user and the environmental protection activities carried out by the Carabinieri Forestali.
THE“Culture of Legality” initiative, promoted by the General Command, constitutes an important opportunity to make known the functions and tasks of the Carabinieri. It also helps to orient young people towards the concept of "legality", promoting training based on respect for the rules and on peaceful social coexistence. With this spirit, the Carabinieri Corps continues its commitment to increase opportunities for meeting and dialogue with local educational institutions, to consolidate a relationship of continuous exchange of values and increase enthusiasm among young people for respecting the law.
