Catanzaro, 21-year-old arrested for robbing a woman: she was attacked and robbed of 300 euros.

I Carabinieri of the Catanzaro Company have arrested, in recent days, a 21-year-old from the place, seriously suspected of being the author of a robbery occurred on August 15, 2025 to the detriment of a 57 year old woman, a Chinese citizen, resident in the Calabrian capital. According to what emerged from the investigations, the young man would have broke into the victim's home, subtracting them approximately 300 euros in cash prima di run away leaving her on the ground wounded.

The investigation and the discovery of the clothes used during the robbery

The investigative activity was coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Catanzaro and conducted by the military of the Operations Section of the Catanzaro Company, who intervened following the report of a citizen who had noticed a woman injured on the side of the road, with facial injuries. Thanks to the initial information gathered – also with the help of an interpreter – and to theanalysis of surveillance camera images present in the area, the Carabinieri managed to reconstruct the entire dynamics of the attack.

Subsequent house searches allowed us to find and seize the clothes worn by the alleged perpetrator on the day of the robbery, elements considered decisive in consolidating the circumstantial evidence. Based on the evidence collected, the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Catanzaro issued a precautionary custody order in prison against the 21-year-old, notified by the Carabinieri. The man was then conducted at the “Ugo Caridi” prison in Catanzaro, at the disposal of theJudicial authority.
