Niscemi: Fight between peers ends in stabbings, 19-year-old arrested by Carabinieri

The Carabinieri of the Niscemi Station have arrested for attempted murder and illegal possession of objects capable of causing offence a young man from Niscemi 19 years.

In particular, the Carabinieri, having received the report of a stabbing occurred in via Caruso in Niscemi, they went to the emergency room of the local hospital where he had presented himself a few minutes earlier an eighteen-year-old who suffered a stab wound. From the first reconstructions it emerged that the young man had been involved in a discussion for trivial reasons with a peer of his. During the altercation, the latter, pulled out a knife from one sleeve of the jacket and has hit the victim several times.

The investigations and testimonies collected by the military have allowed us to immediately identify the attacker which in the meantime had undone by the knife and had returned home. The victim was transported to the hospital in Gela and underwent surgery.

The weapon was seized and the arrested person was subjected to the arrest at their home upon order of the Judicial Authority.

The Court of Gela, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of the house arrest with electronic bracelet.
