A timetable that will lead, in a short time, to the reopening and the return to public use of the Archaeological Museum and Greek Ship of Bosco Littorio, in Gela.
This is what was established by the technical table that took place at the headquarters of the regional department of Cultural heritage and Sicilian identity, Palermo.
The meeting was organized by the councilor Francesco Paolo Scarpinato to take stock of the situation and speed up the work.
«Thanks to the additional sums made available by the department - Said Scarped - it will be possible to overcome the delays and critical issues, linked to thefts and vandalism, which have prevented the opening of two such prestigious and important sites for the territory.
At the same time, we are working on the creation of a path for the disabled that can make the visit circuit more accessible and inclusive.».
THEmeeting objective has been to Strengthen the synergy between all parties involved so that the work can be completed in the shortest time possible, so as to ensure the protection and enhancement of the cultural heritage of Gela and to offer the community and visitors the opportunity to enjoy these once again important archaeological sites.
Scarped he assured that theDepartment of Cultural Heritage will continue to constantly monitor the progress of the works, ensuring maximum commitment to achieving this goal.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Mario The Rock, the superintendent of Caltanissetta, Daniela Vullo, the director of the Archaeological Park of Gela, Donated Council.
