Cagliari: “SOStenere in Rete” to strengthen the anti-violence network

The meeting took place in the last few days, in the amphitheatre hall of the General Directorate of Social Policies of the Department of Health, in Cagliari, Signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for the strengthening of the regional anti-violence network within the ministerial project “SOStenere in Rete”, funded by the Department of Equal Opportunities and co-financed by the Sardinia Region, the lead body.

The Protocol brings together all the actors and institutions of the territory, at the service of the victims of violence, constituting a prevention, listening and widespread support network capable of guaranteeing the fight against gender violence and taking charge through a multilevel governance model based on networking.

“We are gathered here for an important event that certifies our commitment and that of the main institutional actors present in our region, through the construction of an effective and shared procedural model that ensure the care of women victims of violence, of any minors involved, up to the care of the perpetrators of violence themselves, for a recovery process which passes first of all from education to respect" explained the opening of the worksCouncilor Bartolazzi. Also present at the signing was the Director General of Social Policies of the Department of Health, Francesca Piras:

“With immense gratitude towards the offices and all the institutional actors who in various capacities have contributed to a shared path, born in the midst of the covid pandemic, I express the hope that this is only the beginning of a fruitful networking effort which can ensure protection for victims of violence and effectiveness of support and contrast actions at all levels of care"

In addition to the Region as the leading body, The Anti-Violence Centres accredited by the Sardinia Region and registered in the 1522 national mapping were present at the signing; the Listening and Recovery Centers for Men Perpetrators of Gender-Based Violence (CUAV and CAM), the Italian Center for the Promotion of Mediation and Restorative Justice, the Guarantor for Children and Adolescents of Sardinia, the Regional School Office, the Police Headquarters and the provincial Carabinieri commands, the Guardia di Finanza, the Attorney General's Office at the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, the ordinary and juvenile prosecutors' offices, the ordinary Court in its various provincial branches and that for Minors, the Regional Health Authority Ares and the entire territorial declination of the Sardinian Health System, the figure of the Equality Advisor, a representation of the major professional Orders of the island.

Some of the subjects adhering to the Network, such as Anci Sardegna, will complete the signature in the next few days. The overall picture that emerges is that of a a capillary network of collaborations that is being formed today with the concrete will to create an effective barrier against gender violence on the island. Territorial socio-health operational protocols will be defined below, with the articulation of the socio-health service networks and including all the competent territorial institutions that have signed the protocol, in order to guarantee trust, quality, safety in every node of the network.

"SUPPORT ONLINE– He concludes Piras – aims to model the theoretical framework of integrated management of interventions to combat violence and to give a greater definition of the role and tasks of each subject, acting on the side of cultural awareness and social communication through a training path divided into 4 phases: communication path, basic path, advanced path and procedural path".
