Brescia: A factory in Orzinuovi has been seized for illegal waste management and trademark counterfeiting.

I Forestry Carabinieri of the Brescia Nucleus they closed one 1.400 square meter factory in the municipality of Orzinuovi (BS), following serious violations in the field of waste management, Intellectual Property e environmental regulations.

The operation, concluded on November 25, led to the seizure of approximately 90 tons of wooden pallets damaged that the company purchased, repaired and resold without owning the necessary permissionsThe owner was reported for environmental crimes and trademark counterfeiting. The main violations detected by the Forestry Carabinieri are:

• Illegal waste management: damaged pallets were considered waste and the company operated without the environmental permits required by law.

• Counterfeiting of registered trademarks: the owner was using the trademark improperly EPAL, technical certificate reserved for authorized companies.

• Unauthorized emissions into the atmosphere: the activity carried out involved emissions subject to authorization, which was absent in this specific case.
