Brescia: 67-year-old employee dies, house arrest confirmed for the legal representative and special prosecutor of the management company of the ski resort located in Val Palot

The military personnel of the Breno Guardia di Finanza Company and the Investigative Unit of the Carabinieri of Brescia have carried out aorder for precautionary measure of house arrest, issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge at the Court of Brescia, against the legal representative and the special attorney of the management company of the ski resort located in Val Palot in the municipality of Pisogne. At the same time, in execution of the same order, the preventive seizure of the Val Palot – Duadello ski lift system has been carried out.

The measure is due to the accident that occurred on December 28, 2024 along the ski lift line of the aforementioned facility, which caused the death of a 67-year-old company employee. Initially, the cause of death hypothesized by the medical personnel who intervened was cardiac arrest due to illness, but the subsequent investigations led the Public Prosecutor to request the Preliminary Investigation Judge to issue the provision in question, hypothesizing, the two individuals were charged with the crime of manslaughter aggravated by having violated the rules for the prevention of accidents at work. The investigations ordered by the Judicial Authority were developed by the military of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of Edolo, the Guardia di Finanza Company of Breno and the Investigative Unit of the Carabinieri of Brescia.
