Val Trompia: Youth group "069" dismantled: eight precautionary measures for violence, robbery, and extortion.
In the early hours of Monday, December 15, a large-scale Carabinieri operation affected several municipalities in the province of Brescia, specifically the city of Brescia, Villa Carcina, Sarezzo, and Concesio. Officers from the Gardone Val Trompia Company, supported by personnel from the Brescia Provincial Command and the Casatenovo Dog Unit, executed a precautionary measure order issued by the investigating judge at the Brescia Juvenile Court, at the request of the local Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
Eight precautionary measures against young people under investigation
The order issued a total of eight precautionary measures against as many individuals, all between the ages of 17 and 19 and minors at the time of the incidents. Three of them were placed in community care, while five others were ordered to remain at home. The suspects, both Italian and non-EU citizens, are held responsible, to varying degrees, for a long list of crimes, including violent assault, stalking, extortion, robbery, threats, theft, possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence, and damage.
A trail of violent episodes between 2022 and 2025
The alleged incidents occurred over a broad time span, from September 2022 to March 2025, and specifically affected the municipalities of Villa Carcina, Sarezzo, and Concesio. According to investigators' findings, the criminal conduct generated widespread concern in the lower and middle Val Trompia area, particularly due to the recurrence of the incidents and the particularly aggressive behavior shown toward the victims.
Searches and warrants issued for 17 other suspects
Concurrently with the execution of the precautionary measures, the Carabinieri conducted 17 additional searches, mandated by the Brescia Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, on individuals between the ages of 15 and 20, including three minors and fourteen adults. The latter were served with preliminary investigation notices for the same incidents, confirming the breadth and complexity of the investigation.
The connection with the sentences already issued in 2024
The measures taken in the last few hours represent the completion of an ongoing investigation. The operation follows on from the measures adopted on September 16, 2024, when seven precautionary measures were taken against the adult members of the group. They were subsequently sentenced, in May 2024, to prison terms ranging from two to eight years.
The investigation and discovery of the "069" conspiracy
The investigation, conducted by the Villa Carcina Carabinieri Station, began following a series of robberies and assaults committed by young people, both Italian and foreign, in the Val Trompia area. The investigative efforts, based on witness statements, analysis of video surveillance systems, and examination of cell phones seized during the various operations, led to the identification of the alleged perpetrators. In this context, the existence of a loosely organized criminal organization known as "069," composed of adults and minors, emerged, whose members allegedly acted in a coordinated manner.
Fragile victims and systematic violence
According to the investigation, numerous criminal incidents were characterized by particular violence against minor victims or persons with disabilities. This factor contributed to worsening the prosecution's case and highlighting the group's social dangerousness, prompting the judicial authorities to intervene with significant restrictive measures.
