Brescia: Trafficking of metal waste, two factories seized
The military personnel of the Brescia Forestry Carabinieri Group and the agents of the Brescia Railway Police Section proceeded to search and seize the registered office and two factories of a company operating in the Municipality of Brescia, at the centre of a complex investigative activity carried out by the aforementioned departments and coordinated by the local DDA, within which the following are currently being reported two people investigated.
The accusation is that the company illegally collected and managed approximately 2.500 tons of domestic scrap metal., therefore classifiable as urban waste, although it was authorised to transport and recover only special waste, i.e. deriving from industrial and artisanal activities.
The company also allegedly admitted into its factories numerous loads of waste lacking the necessary traceability documentation or accompanied by false documentation, with the aim of hindering the identification of the actual origin of the waste managed.
