Lombardy is preparing to experience an unforgettable season with the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. One year after the lighting of the brazier of Milano-Curtain kicks off Olympic Hearts Path, a journey that lasted ten months will affect all 12 provinces of Lombardy.

A path that will start from Brescia, on March 9th, with the BAM – Brescia Art Marathon, first stage of a story that combines sport and territory, history and future, roots and ambition.

“This year's Brescia Art Marathon takes on an even more significant value: for the first time it will bear the logo of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics Milano-Cortina 2026” declared Barbara Mazzali, Councilor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, Fashion and Major Events of the Lombardy Region. “It will be the'project's inaugural event The Heart of the Olympics, with which we want to turn the spotlight on the wonders of the 12 Lombard provinces, because every corner of the our regione deserves to be celebrated during the Olympics Milano-Cortina 2026".

Lombardy is a land of sports, of passion, of great events, of visionary enterprises and traditions that look to the future. With the Olympic Hearts we want to give voice to every territory, make it the protagonist and ensure that anyone who lives or visits our region can feel its authentic heartbeat.

The streets of Brescia will become a living stage set, where every athlete will run to overcome one's limits and to discover an extraordinary heritage: the Renaissance squares, the remains of the ancient Roman city, the Lombard vestiges, the charm of the Castle and the modern architecture that looks to the future.

"Our Olympic heart – continued Mazzali – it will be a journey that will cross the whole of Lombardy in 2025, creating a deep bond between its 12 provinces and its territories, in a crescendo of enthusiasm until thelast stop in Sondrio, in December. It will be there that we will leave the last heart, symbol of a region that proudly lives its leading role in the 2026 Games. Winter Olympics and Paralympics – added the councilor – they are not only a great sporting event, but aextraordinary opportunity to tell the soul of Lombardy, its ability to welcome, innovate and excel. We want every Lombard to feel this spirit, and for every tourist to know all our territories - concluded Mazzali - because Lombardy is the home of the Olympics and we want to make it shine in the eyes of the world".

After Brescia, the Olympic Hearts will continue their journey throughout Lombardy, touching every province with unique events, capable of enhancing the local identity and the deep bond between sport and territory.

From Pavia, with its Corri Battaglia that recalls the great history, up to Milano, With the fastest marathon in Italy and the Family Run. From Cremona, where the river Po will be the protagonist of a celebration dedicated to sport and nature, in Varese, where the magic of the Sacro Monte will be the backdrop to a journey through music and movement. Until we reach Valtellina, where our journey will culminate among the vineyards and majestic slopes that will host the Olympic descents.
