Bergamo celebrates its excellence: the Lombardy Region awards 74 new historic businesses.
The Sestini Hall of the Palazzo dei Contratti e delle Manifestazioni hosted the new stage of the tour with which Lombardy region rewards the Historical Activities Recognized in 2025: realities that have kept the economic and social fabric of the province alive for at least 40 years.
They are 74 new businesses in Bergamo – among artisan workshops, historic places and neighborhood shops – which have received the regional identification mark, symbol of continuity, tradition and quality.
The ceremony was attended byCouncilor for Economic Development Guido Guidesi Councilor for Housing and Social Housing Paolo Franco and President of the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce Giovanni Zambonelli.

During the award ceremony, the councilor Guide yourself highlighted the profound value of these activities: The brand is the Lombardy Region's way of recognizing and promoting the role of historic businesses. They are the beating heart of our communities, a symbol of quality and an example of tenacity and passion. If Lombardy excels, it's thanks in part to them.
Guidesi also emphasized the strength of family businesses and the complexity of generational change, often addressed with determination and skill.

The commissioner Paul Franco, from Bergamo, underlined the identity link between the province and its historical activities "They represent the work culture that distinguishes Bergamo. Dedication, commitment, and continuity: values that make our region unique. Supporting local businesses means supporting our communities."
A heritage of 4.477 activities in Lombardy
With the 74 new realities, it rises to 488 is the total number of historical activities in the province of Bergamo and 4.477 recognized throughout Lombardy.
They can be consulted on the dedicated regional portal photographs, cards and information of each awarded exercise.
The 74 new historic businesses in the province of Bergamo
The full list includes 17 historic artisan workshops, 15 historic venues and 42 historic shops, with activities founded between the 1920s and the 1980s of the last century: butchers, restaurants, artisan workshops, pastry shops, pharmacies, clothing stores, service businesses and much more.
Regional support: the "Historic Enterprises for the Future" call for proposals
In addition to the recognition, the Lombardy Region supports these realities through the call for proposals “Historic companies towards the future”, which in 2025 makes available 10,8 million euro.
The contribution covers up to 50% of investments in:

redevelopment of the premises
-
restoration and conservation
A measure designed to unite tradition and modernity, making even generation-old businesses more competitive.
