Belluno: young skier goes off the slope, intervention by the ski patrol of the State Police.
On February 03, 2024, around 16.20 pm, the patrol of the ski detachment of Falcade (BL), was warned via radio of a rescue to be carried out on the final stretch of the "Le Buse-Molino" slope, as a boy, after having gone from the track, he had suffered abrasions to his face.
Immediately the patrol, on board a snowmobile, moved to the final stretch of the aforementioned track and precisely to the locality "Pian De Le Mole". On site it was found that 6 meters of the net had been torn down and on the slope below, about 5 meters from the edge of the slope, there was the presence of a minor skier. Next to the boy was his mother.
The operators, with a rope maneuver, as the little snow placed along the slope was frozen, managed to reach the two people to provide them with assistance. The boy appeared standing, without his skis, and without his helmet, which he was wearing at the time of the accident. He appeared scared and stunned by what had happened. He showed abrasions on his chin and lips, and also had a lacerated wound on his left upper lip with leakage of blood.
The mother reported that she was unharmed and that she had slipped down the slope without her skis on to help her son.
Again with a rope maneuver and with the help of personnel from the lift company it was possible to recover the two people and bring them back to the skiable surface. The young man was treated and a cervical collar was applied. Taken by snowmobile to the locality of Molino di Falcade, he was handed over to the volunteers of the Green Cross to be transported to the emergency room of the hospital in Agordo (BL) for the necessary investigations.
