The Belluno Highway Police Section carried out a specific service in the territory of the Municipality of Belluno on the weekend of 04/6 October 2024, together with the Local Police, coordinated by the Commander of the Feltre Highway Police Detachment under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Police Giorgi Luciana.
They were 36 vehicles and 37 people were checked and it emerged that 4 of these tested positive to the breathalyzer test with the referral to the Judicial Authority pursuant to art. 186 paragraph 2 letter b CdS; in particular, following a road accident, it emerged that the driver, in addition to the positive result for the state of drunkenness with a very high value, of 2,40 g/litre, also tested positive for the use of a narcotic substance - cannabinoids - found in the vehicle, after the toxicological test carried out at the OC of Belluno with the consequent report in a state of freedom.
They were coming 5 driving licenses withdrawn this evening, a registration document and 50 points were deducted from the license.
In some cases, traffic police officers have found the presence of a designated driver on board, that is, a person who undertakes to not drink alcohol in order to take the passengers home.
Also to avoid the risk of heavy additional sanctions of withdrawal of the license for the purpose of suspension for up to two years and the revision of the license itself, which entails the obligation for the driver to appear before the Provincial Medical Commission for the suitability of the psychophysical requirements, with the reduction of the validity of the license.
If the driver exceeds the blood alcohol level of 1,5 g/l, the vehicle will also be confiscated.
The checks by the Highway Police with the aid of specific instruments and precursors for the use of substances will be repeated and will extend throughout the province.
