Bari: 20 years of Pride, tomorrow the "generations comparison" talk.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 18 October, at 18pm, in the courtyard of City Palace*, will be held "Generations compared", a talks in which exponents of the LGBTQIA movement+ they will tell their stories experiences reflecting on the meaning and evolution of Pride in the city of Bari.
Speakers: Giuliano Ciliberti, Lisangela Sgobba, Lucia Laterza, Vito Marinelli, Silvia Viterbo, Enrico Fusco, La Wanda Gastrica, Richard Lee, Viviana Loprieno, Gianni Marsico, Rosa Perrucci, Francesca Vitucci, Flavia Tritto and Ciro Saracino. He will moderate Anna Puricella.
The meeting is organized as part of the initiative “Bari, 20 years of Pride”, which sees at its center the photographic exhibition promoted by the associations that make up the LGBTQI technical table and by the LGBTQI Office of the Municipality of Bari.
The exhibition “Bari, 20 years of Pride”, hosted in the courtyard of Palazzo di Città, presents twenty-two analogue shots, published and unpublished by four photographers – Gennaro Gargiulo, Veralisa Massari, Andrea Monte and Piermarco Clemente – chosen from those who have marked the entire path of the Bari LGBTQIA+ movement.
The city of Bari on 7 June 2003 it was the first city in the South to welcome Pride: over 50.000 people from all over Italy took part and transformed the streets of the city into a rainbow of colors and hope.
The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to relive the beginnings of the history of the Bari LGBTQIA+ movement through the images that tell of those days. A journey through time that brings to light the essence and energy of the first Pride in Bari, an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of Pride over the years from a social, cultural and political point of view.
*In case of bad weather the talk will be held in the spaces of the former municipal treasury.
