Bari: anti-degradation checks, 7 fines for waste abandonment and closure of an illegal club.

The Local Police fined seven people for illegal waste disposal and suspended an illegal catering business in Carbonara.

Bari: anti-degradation checks, 7 fines for waste abandonment and closure of an illegal club.

I continue checks by the Bari Local Police to combat illegal waste disposal and various forms of illegal dumping.

This morning at dawn, the anti-degradation core ha seven people fined, surprises while abandoning waste without respecting the rules and disposal times. In particular:

  • Six people were fined in Cannaruto Street for depositing bags outside of opening hours;
  • In Count Giusso Street, a man residing in Modugno he was fined for abandoning bulky waste next to the bins.

The sanctions provided for these offences vary from 25 to 500 euros, as established by thetrade union ordinance and by 'art. 7 bis of Legislative Decree 18/08/2000 n. 267.

Carbonara: illegal club closed

A Carbonara, the Local Police discovered a private club who exercised the illegal administration of food and drinks without the proper authorizations. During a check of the Annona sector, the officers verified that inside the premises Food and drinks were served to members and non-members, without the owner being in possession of the SHAH (Certified Notification of Commencement of Activity), required to operate legally.

Consequently, the goods were seized and the agents have ordered the immediate cessation of activity, prohibiting the continuation of the illegal administration.

“I thank the Local Police for their constant commitment against all forms of illegality and for respecting the rules, to the advantage of commercial and restaurant activities that work with honesty and sacrifice”, stated theCouncilor Carla Palone.

"On the subject of waste, we had announced a further crackdown on uncivilized people who, even when 'away', continue to dirty and pollute our city. The activities to combat illicit activities and repress crimes are always accompanied by awareness campaigns, which we hope will increasingly impact the fight against the hateful phenomenon of waste migration".
