Como, wanted throughout Europe: 39-year-old Romanian arrested in a hotel in Montano Lucino

The man was the subject of a European arrest warrant issued by Sweden for fraud, organized theft and armed robbery.

Como, wanted throughout Europe: 39-year-old Romanian arrested in a hotel in Montano Lucino.

He ended up in handcuffs a 39 year old Romanian, wanted internationally, tracked down and arrested by the Como State Police in the early hours of Sunday morning thanks to a system alert Hosted Web.

The message has arrived at operations center of the Como Police Headquarters shortly after dawn: an alert indicated the presence, at a hotel of Montano Lucino (CO), of the man on whom a European arrest warrantissued by Sweden.

A patrol was immediately sent to the accommodation facility and knocked on the door of the room where the 39-year-old was staying. The man was stopped without resistance and taken to the police station.

Here the agents have certified identity of the wanted and contacted International Operations Center, which provided the warrant issued in November by Swedish authorities. The document listed the crimes for which the 39-year-old was wanted: fraud, organized theft e armed robbery.

Sentenced in the Scandinavian country and considered dangerous, had been included in the list of people to be arrested on European territory.

Once the notifications and the procedural documents were completed, the Romanian citizen was transferred to the Como prison, available to Court of Appeal of Milano, competent for the execution of the European arrest warrant.
