Lake Como, Police checks on boats to ensure safety.

La Como Police, in addition to carrying out road control of the territory, also has the Inland Water Team, a specialized team, trained at the La Spezia Center.

The agents of the “Nautical Squad” carried out, yesterday morning, some Port area controls and to the ports of call and to the vessels of passenger transport of Lake Como Navigation.

The control of public navigation landings has verified the compliance with standards and allowed the officers to board a boat on the Como-Varenna route for check the passengers, ensuring legality and safety on board.

34 people were identified during the checks, 23 of whom were foreigners, which, combined with the identifications of the patrol cars on the road, bring the total to almost 150 people checked in one day alone.

The presence of the Como State Police remains constant also on the waters of the Lario ensuring safety and respect for the laws.
