Como: he was hanging around the parking lots in front of the Police Headquarters with an iron bar, reported by the State Police.
The State Police reported at liberty for illegal possession of weapons, damage and receiving stolen goods, a 24-year-old Afghan, irregular in the territory and without a fixed abode.
A patrol car was sent to the parking lot in front of the Como Police Headquarters as several reports indicated a man, armed with a long iron bar, intending to damage some parked scooters, in fact one of these had been damaged.
The police officers, also given the extreme proximity, intervened immediately, stopping the man a little further on in via Grandi, still holding the long rod. After a brief exchange, the officers disarmed the 24-year-old, taking him to the police station where he was identified and checked more carefully.
In fact, in his trouser pockets the man kept a bunch of keys with a tag bearing the name and surname of an Italian citizen.
The investigations revealed that the bunch of keys was actually the result of a theft committed in Milano on board a car. The owner was found and the keys were returned to him.
At the end of the drafting of the documents, the 24-year-old Afghan was reported at liberty for illegal possession of weapons, damage, receiving stolen goods and for violating the immigration law.
His position is being examined by the Immigration Office of Como for the adoption of the necessary measures.
