The State Police has 44-year-old reported at liberty for receiving stolen goods from Gerenzano (VA), with a police record, found in possession of a stolen car and a bag snatched from a woman from Como. It all started when, at the beginning of the week, the investigators of the Flying Squad received two reports of the two crimes, which occurred a few hours apart from each other, the theft of a car in via Perego and the snatching of a bag from a lady which took place in via Belvedere.

The intervention of the patrol cars for the theft of a white Kia Sportage actually took place in via Perego, when a local shopkeeper alerted 112, the officers on site ascertained that the car, which had been left parked with the keys in the ignition to unload some goods, had been stolen.

The patrol cars were sent to Via Belvedere where theft with snatching of a bag from a 72-year-old woman had been reported resident in Cantù, the first investigations and the testimonies collected they ascertained that the robbery had been perpetrated by a man who was later seen fleeing on board a white SUV, the only useful detail being the car's license plate. And it is precisely from the investigations into the robbery that took place in via Belvedere that the agents of the Flying Squad they immediately traced the stolen car, starting a series of police activities aimed at identifying the person responsible.

The immediate investigations allowed the Mobile detectives to identify the area where the stolen car had headed immediately after the bag was stolen, narrowing it down to the municipality of Montano Lucino (CO). Appropriate services were then organized with the aim of tracking down the car, in fact patrols from the Flying Squad were employed, of the patrol cars and squad cars of the 6th section of the Cabinet Office.

It took little for the crews to locate the reported car while it was leaving a wooded area of ​​Montano Lucino driven by 44 year old from Varese who was stopped, was unable to give explanations neither about the ownership of the car nor the bag, later found to be the subject of the crime of via Belvedere, positioned on the back seats. Taken to the Police Headquarters for identification, the 44-year-old was later reported at large for receiving stolen goods, while the car and bag were returned to their rightful owners.
