Como: he goes to the police station to renew his residence permit but his criminal record costs him the revocation of the permit and his repatriation

Yesterday, the Como State Police proceeded with the expulsion and subsequent repatriation of a 48-year-old Tunisian, homeless and with a criminal record.

The story began on Tuesday morning, when the 48-year-old Tunisian man showed up at the Immigration Office counter at the Como Police Headquarters, asking to be able to submit an application for renewal of his residence permit. The police then collected the man's data and from the routine checks, they reached his complete identification, discovering that the Tunisian had left the national territory some time ago but above all, he had a criminal record such that he had to take measures other than renewing the document.

Como: si presenta in Questura per rinnovare il permesso di soggiorno ma i suoi precedenti penali gli costano la revoca del permesso e il rimpatrio

In addition to the various aliases, each of which he had associated with a criminal act, the immigration agents found that the man had collected, during his stay in the territory, convictions for serious crimes. Leaving aside the convictions for resisting, violence and insulting a public official, or the crimes related to his condition of disorderly drunkenness, a conviction received for sexual acts against minors stood out.

The prerequisites united together, The 48-year-old Tunisian had his residence permit revoked, was denied the renewal of any other permit and, after validation by the judge, was expelled from Italy and escorted to the border. The Como Police Chief Marco Calì, has instructed the police officers of the Immigration Office who deal with expulsions, to immediately organize his forced escort and his boarding for Tunis.
