Como, collects his father's pension after his death 9 years ago and embezzles over 60.000 euros

The Financiers of the Guardia di Finanza Company of Erba, have concluded an investigative activity, carried out under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Como, as a result of which they found that a man from Cabiate continued to unduly receive the pension of his father, who died in December 2014, also occupying, without title, the public housing apartment assigned to him.

Investigative activity, which is part of the Institute's daily activity aimed at combating illicit activities in the area of ​​public spending and in particular to the detriment of social security institutions, has allowed to ascertain in approximately €64.300 the amount of pensions paid by INPS after the death of the entitled person, an amount which was appropriated, until August 2023, by the fifty-year-old son through numerous and continuous withdrawals from the bank account where the annuity was paid and on which he was the only delegate to operate since the date of its opening.

The individual was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Como, not only for undue receipt of benefits to the detriment of INPS, but also for having illegally occupied the public property originally assigned to his father.

The investigations, in fact, started from a report by ALER of Como which had detected, during routine administrative checks, a potential illegal occupation of a property owned by the municipality of Carugo assigned to a deceased man.
