La Como State Police, in the night between Saturday and Sunday, reported a 54 year old Belarusian truck driver, without a criminal record, for threat aggravated by the use of weapons e illegal possession of a weaponThe man had entered Italy in end of January with his TIR.

The episode occurred around the1:30 at night, when a police car was urgently sent to the “Lario Tir” parking lot on via Colombo, where a fight between truck drivers had been reported, with one of them armed with knife.

Police intervention

When they arrived on site, the officers found the 54 year old still armed, holding a blade of almost 10 centimetersThe police intervened disarming him immediately and making him put the gun on the ground, then securing him in the company car.

From collected testimonies, it emerged that the man had deliberately assaulted and threatened with death a group of truck drivers just for hearing them speak with a Ukrainian accent.
